This was the first character that I created and finally committed to leveling up to 50.  The Beam of today is in fact the 5th version of High Beam I created, but the others were deleted on or around reaching level 10.  All versions of Beam were Energy Blast.  I loved the animation and sound and back in the day, everyone was running around with AR Blasters.  Beam was my first level 50 and is my designated Hero Badge Hunter.  Beam participated in the first Freedom server takedown of the Hamidon.  I have respec'd Beam as many times as possible.  Originally I wanted this toon to be named Halogen, but the name was taken.  High Beam was very loosely based on a crappy superhero I created in my RPG days/comic book days named Thunderball.  Energy as a primary is not often a flavor of the month because of the knockback effects inherent to the power set.  High Beam was once in the Group Smithson's Chinese Bandits and a co-leader in the Women of Authority before settling down in the Babes of War.  When Issue 9 was put in place Beam was overhauled with Set IO's and she is turning into a killing machine.  The nice thing is that Beam is still an active and fun character to play.

This toon was created about a month after High Beam, but, like all of my alts, was shelved until Beam hit 50.  Once that happened this was my next AT.  Since Beam was a pure ranged character I wanted to do the opposite so a melee toon was next.  The planned goal for this toon was for her to complete all of the Story Arcs . . . a plan that failed, I missed a few.  This toon ran up levels so fast I don't have a great deal of memories of playing her until she was around 40.  Then a lot of fun happened because I was running with my best in-game friend, Dr. Finetush, who was running up a Fire troller named Ball of Fire.  Prior to Enhancement Diversification, as a Duo, we crushed all who opposed us.  Then the developers took away our fun with Enhancement Diversification.  It's never been the same and I rarely play her, if ever..  This was the second character to reach level 50.  Nobody could ever accuse this toon of being a FotM as almost nobody takes Mace.  When server transfers were put in place, this toon was moved to Protector and she was designated as RETIRED.

Shield was created about a week before the 2004 Winter event and its infamous Winter Lord powerleveling.  I was still new to the Babes but one of the things I liked about the group was that we did not tolerate that type of stuff.  Shield stayed around level 12 until Hammer hit 50.  Because Hammer had failed to complete all of the story arcs, the goal was now assigned to Shield.  Leveling a troller was slow until I got my pets, and it was still in the days before both ED and the pet nerfs so I could have two Jack Frosts out for a short period of time.  It was fun getting back to Blasting, though not in its purest form for sure.  This character had its origin to another Pen and Paper RPG/comic character I had called Power Girl, this Russian Force Field Bubbler.  Good thing I didn't try to use that name in game otherwise I would have been Generic'd.  I chose the powerset because The Babes had so many Fire, Illusion and Gravity trollers that it was different, plus you could see the holds in effect with that set.  Of course now Ice is the FotM.  Shield was my third level 50 toon.  I was the first Babe to have 3 50's all ran up as Babes.  This character has been moved to Protector as well and has been designated as RETIRED.

Amazon had also been created just before the Winter 2004 event and she too awaited her turn.  Since I never really played her until her turn came, I never felt the pain of the numerous Regen nerfs that occurred prior to that time.  They had been instituted well before I started playing her.  This toon finally achieved the goal of completing every story arc in the game (Kheldin Arcs don't count) and I was super excited about it.  I chose BS because I saw it so rarely within the Babes and in the game (so many people playing Katana).  I chose regen because I had already run up an Invulnerability set and there were tons of Super Reflexes types in the Babes.  Amazon was my fourth level 50 toon.  I was the first Babe to have 4 50's ran up as a Babe.  Yet another toon that has been moved to Protector and designated RETIRED.

Para is an interesting deal.  I got the name from another player who I was in a different Supergroup with (Women of Authority), alongside my in-game friend Loca Horse.  That player decided to leave the game and I liked the name so much I asked if I could have it.  She agreed and as soon as she deleted her toon I recreated her.  Her Para-Medic was Empathy/Radiation, but I changed to Empathy/Psychic (I thought the powers more fitting the cool name).  Para was played occasionally while I leveled other toons so when I began to dedicate my time fully to her, she was level 31.  I emulated Dr. Finetush, who was also Empathy/Psychic.  She was my sixth toon to hit level 50, about a week after my first Villain, Low Beam, hit 50.  Its not that I hate her but I have realized that I am most comfortable with blasting.  Currently this toon is still parked on Freedom but will be gone to Protector soon.  As of now she has been designated as RETIRED.

I rolled this character up once the Archery sets were released.  The character was designed, from a story standpoint, to parallel Munitions Mistress, a villain Mastermind of mine.  She was supposed to be the assistant of the Mistress, but that never really panned out in my brain.  It has been fun returning to my Blaster roots and is the next hero I am driving to 50.  Like Longbow Talon, this character was patterned after my RPG/comic days called Ace Archer.  Though I feel that archery characters are all rip-off's of Green Arrow (screw Hawkeye), but at least we don't have boxing glove arrows.  I like playing her so far but I am well aware of the shortfalls of Archery at higher levels.  This toon, because she is a Blaster is getting Set IO's as they come (not the rush I did with Beam).  Blasters are just too fun to play and are always going to be my go-to's.

Beardon, as a name has existed for me for quite some time.  Originally he was created on Virtue as a place to play when Freedom was acting up, or down or overloaded.  He was one of 6 characters I created using the mythological names of Communications equipment no longer in use by the U.S. Navy.  The others were Orestes, Vinson, Parkhill, Creon and Pontus.  None of those toons ever got out of Outbreak, but I began creating a lot of back story material with Beardon.  When I purchased my second City of Heroes account, Beardon was immediately recreated on Freedom on that account.  The former Babe of War named Fade always amazed me as a Gravity troller, they are so simply controlling.  And I had fallen in love with Kinetics on my villain Low Beam, so that was how I selected his powers.  Of course some of my pleasure is ruined by the assholes who cry for Speed Boost, which I have intentionally NOT TAKEN.  He is the highest level hero toon on my second account.  As a side note, Beardon was very much the evolution of the character Colonel Riley from my RPG/comic days and I officially refer to him as Colonel Beardon when crafting stories for him.

This is essentially the hero version of my villain which in reality was a toon I created way back in the days of Issue 1 and a toon called Arbeques.  Granted he was an Armor wearing Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster, but hey.  I drove the Mastermind up first and since they reside on the same server they cannot have the same name so I had to put the dash in there (which I kind of hate).  Its a theme thing, so it had to be done.  Like my other Blasters, she will be set up with Set IO's as I get them.  AR is fun because I like that feel of firing the gun at idiots.

Originally I wanted this toon to be named Tesla Trooper (sounds better), but the name was taken.  I like the all Electric concept because its just fun.  He is also the first toon I have that has Rocket Boots.  As he is on my second account I will NOT be setting him up with Set IO's only because its the second account.  This is a toon I would love to transfer to my primary account if they ever allow it.  Playing him was kind of strange to me as a native Blaster when I found that he had that Tesla Cage hold.  Very wierd.

What more is there to say, Super Reflexes and Katana.  She isn't a very interesting character nor does she have any real good story potential.  She is simply there to occupy time, generate salvage and influence and prestige.  I will say that my Hero Planner design for this toon is the first not to incorporate an Ancillary Pool originally but was retooled to include the Body Mastery pool.  This character is on my second account and is not in a Babe of War Squad.  This is also one of the toons that will very likely be relegated to the scrap heap.  The only reason she is even identified as SEMI-ACTIVE is because I use her for PvP Reputation farming.  When that is done she will be DEACTIVATED and eventually DELETED.

This is one of the two toons I created using the new Dual Blades power set.  The whole set is fun to play.  I like the feel of her attacks and when the set was being tested in beta she got the bump to 36 and the play was money!  I dont find her as boring as the other two Scrappers I have run up because the attacks at least look nice and there is a perverted fun in strying to stick the combos.  However since he is not a Blaster, I haven't focused as strongly on leveling her as I have others.

When I created this toon I was having flashbacks of this character from my RPG/comic days named Ace Archer.  Snap-Shot was already Archery but TA I wanted to play with.  From a theme standpoint I wanted her to look as much like Longbow as possible and her creation caused me to spawn several other "Longbow Clones" on Virtue.  It is fun to play now though I imaging at higher levels all of the button mashing for all of the arrows will get annoying.  This character is on my second account and is not in a Babe of War Squad.  I just don't have the same kind of love for this toon.  I hate Defenders pathetic damage output.

Yes, another Blaster.  I love them.  They are my favorite AT to play and so this one was created in order for me to say I have played most every Blaster combination.  I was originally going to go Ice/Ice but the fact was I had done Ice with High Beam and when I was doing build planning I just needed more function that I was seeing from Ice.  Plus the boosting aspects of /Energy works for the slow and hold aspects of the Ice Primary.

So let me explain this.  I HATE KHELDINS.  But in a brief moment of stupidity I made a bet with a fellow Super Group member that if she got her crappy toon MCPO Beam to level 25, I would create a Kheldin and run it up to 50.  Well I have kept part of my promise.  It ain't 50, and that ain't gonna happen before several others get there, but . . .  Anyway, her look was designed to be butt ugly (it was a contest in the SG to design a butt ugly toon).  I am not a big fan of them for many reasons but one of them is the amount of tray management that is required to track the "forms" you are in.

Once I decided that I was going to create all flavors of Blasters, a Fire Blaster had to happen.  Now I had created a Fire/Fire on Virtue, and though I liked aspects of it, I didn't care a whole lot for the secondary so I created this toon on Virtue.  In time, she will be shipped over to Freedom.
